Galwaynews.ie has just launched a new version of its popular news site, that's bigger and better than ever. Working with Proactive Design & Marketing, the company's brief was to refresh the website, add more features and enhance the users interaction with the site.
The resulting site design is now a hub of activity, with latest and breaking news from all over Galway city and county, opinions from top journalists, latest photos of local events and days gone by snippets. Users are encouraged to interact with the site by adding comments to key opinion stories, voting in the latest polls, sending articles to friends, bookmarking pages onto their favourite social sites and registering for regular news updates.
Galwaynews.ie records over 252,946 page views per month with over 32,000 unique visitors. The website contains the latest news from Galway's biggest news sources, The Connacht Tribune, Galway City Tribune, The Connacht Sentinel and Galway Bay FM.
The website was designed and developed in full by Proactive and features an advanced custom-built CMS system, which gives the galwaynews team complete flexibility, while maintaining brand consistency throughout the site.
