An Coimisinéir Teanga's Guidebook to the Official Languages Act 2003 has been launched to assist the public regarding their language rights and to provide advice to public bodies regarding their duties under the Official Languages Act. Proactive worked with An Coimisinéir Teanga to develop a simple and clear structure for the book, which would become an easy reference guide for the public.
Following the launch of the guidebook, Proactive are now working with An Coimisinéir Teanga to develop their Annual Report.
An Coimisinéir Teanga's key role is to monitor compliance by public bodies with the provisions of the Official Languages Act and to take all necessary measures to ensure compliance by public bodies with their duties under the Act.
